Word Quest — Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how the Word Quest mobile application (the "App") handles information when you use it. The App is provided as-is by an independent developer (referred to as "we", "us", "our") and is intended for general audiences aged 13 and older.

Information we collect

Word Quest itself does not ask you to sign in, and does not collect personally identifying information such as name, email, phone number, or address. The App stores the following information locally on your device using standard Android storage:

• Your gameplay stats (games played, win percentage, streaks, guess distribution).
• Your settings (theme, hard mode, free mode, daily/random word, colorblind mode, haptics).

This local data never leaves your device unless you explicitly share it (for example, by pressing the "Share" button to copy your result).

Advertising

The App displays advertisements provided by Google AdMob. AdMob may collect and process information automatically in order to serve and measure ads, including:

• Advertising identifiers (such as the Android Advertising ID).
• IP address and approximate location derived from it.
• Device information (model, OS version, screen size, language).
• Aggregated ad interaction data (impressions, clicks).

This data is collected directly by Google and is governed by Google's privacy policy. For more details, see the Google Privacy Policy and the Google Ads policy. You can reset or limit your Advertising ID at any time from your Android device's settings.

Children's privacy

The App is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently received such information, please contact us so we can delete it.

Permissions

The App requests the following Android permissions:

• Internet and Network state — required to load advertisements.

The App does not request access to your contacts, location, camera, microphone, photos, or any other sensitive permission.

Data sharing

We do not sell or share your personal data with third parties, except for the data automatically collected by Google AdMob as described above.

Your choices

• You can clear your gameplay stats from within the App (Settings → Reset stats).
• You can uninstall the App at any time, which removes all locally stored data.
• You can opt out of personalized ads from your Android device settings (Settings → Privacy → Ads).

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of the page reflects the most recent change.
